Green Hydrogen project

A comprehensive and financially viable initiative for the production of green hydrogen and ammonia in South Africa. The project is strategically positioned in the Freeport Saldanha, designated as a special economic zone (SEZ). Leveraging solar and wind renewable energy, with the possibility of battery storage (BESS), the project aims to supply electricity to the electrolysis (40MW), desalination, air separation, and green ammonia forming processes.

The outcome? The creation of 6,570 tons per annum of green hydrogen, along with green nitrogen, establishing a 35,950 tons per annum (100 tons per day) green ammonia production facility, equivalent to 438GWh, in the first phase of our project.
